Besides tourism, olive production has been Zakynthos' main source of income for many years. About 2 million (!) olive trees grow on the island. It is beautiful to walk or cycle along the many olive groves. You see trees, sometimes hundreds of years old, with trunks that have the most fascinating shapes. As for the products, first of all, various types of olive oil are made from it. The oil is also used in all kinds of beauty products.
